Rallies are a popular way to explore new places and enjoy the scenery. Whether you’re visiting another city, a rural area, or the mountains, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as getting behind the wheel and going on an adventure. However, if it’s your first time on a car tour or you don’t have much experience, you might have many questions. In these frequently asked questions about car tours, you will find answers to the most common questions.

FancyCarTours is all about a relaxed atmosphere where it doesn't matter what vehicle you own or how much horsepower it has. The participants of FancyCarTours are lovers of beautiful cars, enjoy delicious food and beautiful landscapes. Although they are sporty drivers, they don't make irresponsible maneuvers. Our philosophy is based on the motto "you only live once"! If you recognize yourself in this, don't hesitate to register quickly for one of our events.

We drive around 250 kms per day, thats around 155 miles

There is no possibility of refund, regardless of the circumstances. To cover this risk, it is advisable to take out cancellation insurance. This way, the insured can cover costs if he or she is forced to cancel the trip.

Although having a fast car is not essential, participants in the event are expected to have a nice car. This allows us to admire each other's cars and contribute to a day full of impressive cars. We do not give judgment to determine whether your car is unique; you can best make this decision yourself.

The costs differ per edition. This depends on the arrangements we offer during the tour.

8. How does the route work?

You will receive a GPX file from us, which you can load into an APP or navigation system. More instructions can be found on this page  https://www.fancycartours.nl/hoe-werkt-het-lezen-van-een-route

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email and a link to your ‘Personal booking page’. 2 weeks before the start, you will be added to a ‘Silent WhatsApp group’. You will receive further information, the routes and the final programme of the tour by email no later than 4 days before the start.

We will make sure you can park at the hotel. However, we are not responsible for theft or loss of your car. It is recommended to have an SCM5 or SCM4 security system in your car.

We all leave at the same time. Everyone has the same route. In real life, groups of 5/6 cars are formed while driving. During the ride we have stops, here we can fill the gaps again.

17. How to get to Europe from the UK?

The best way to cross from England to Europe depends on your preferences for speed, comfort, and budget. Here are the main options:

1. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle (Folkestone to Calais): The Eurotunnel is one of the fastest and most convenient options, with the train journey lasting around 35 minutes. You can stay in your vehicle during the crossing, making it ideal for those traveling with cars or motorbikes. Simply drive onto the train at Folkestone, and you’ll be in Calais in no time.

2. Ferry (Dover to Calais or Dunkirk): Ferries are a popular choice for those looking to enjoy a leisurely start to their journey. The crossing takes around 90 minutes to Calais or two hours to Dunkirk. Ferries provide onboard amenities like restaurants, shopping, and comfortable seating, allowing you to relax and enjoy the sea views.

18. We make this journey together.

We guarantee careful planning for every road trip, but sometimes things don't always go as expected. This can be due to unexpected circumstances such as festivals, road closures, events, weather and things we haven't experienced yet :). Organizing a road trip is not an easy task; it's mainly about improvising in unexpected situations. That's why we ask you to have a go-with-the-flow mentality. If a road is closed, it shouldn't be a problem for you to take an hour's detour. And if it takes a bit longer to serve lunch, you don't see that as a problem either. We are dependent on external factors and have no influence on them.

19. I don't know yet which car I want to participate with, can I still register?

- That's no problem, you can already register and it is possible to switch cars later.

20. When do registrations close?

- Registrations close as soon as the maximum number of cars and/or persons has been reached. (This may differ per edition). Of course you can always contact us for the possibilities or a possible waiting list.
