 Discover the beauty of Romania and the Transylvanian Alps during this unforgettable road trip. Romania is a beautiful, but relatively unknown holiday destination. A rugged, mysterious mountain world and untouched nature; the beautiful diverse landscape will amaze you! The highlights are of course included in the program; O.a. the Transfăgărășan Route (labeled the best road in the world) and Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle). If mountain landscapes and adventure make your heart beat faster, then Romania is the suitable road trip destination for you.

Spend the night in
 4* hotels 

 

During this edition we will make a tour and every evening we will spend the night at another accommodation. We have made a selection of beautiful 4-star hotels that we consider appropriate found within this edition.



Day 1: Reception/welcome evening Romania 

 You travel to the location in Romania on your own. We gather at the hotel where a welcome dinner will take place in the evening. Here you will get to know the organization and the other participants and we will go through the program together.


Day 2:  Transalpina & Cindrel Natural Park 

 Today we ride the Transalpina. A well-known road straight through the Parang Mountains (Romanian Carpathians) with a multitude of winding roads. The road is 148 kilometers long and reaches an altitude of 2145 meters (the highest road in Romania). This not only offers breathtaking views, but also unique driving experiences. We stop halfway for lunch. Then we drive through a beautiful nature reserve; Cindrel National Park to the hotel to enjoy an oasis of peace in a natural environment. 


Day 3:  Astra National Museum Complex & Cozia National Park

 Today we visit; Astra National Museum (The largest open-air museum in Europe) located in the nature reserve "Dumbrava Sibiului". A glimpse into the culture and life of Romania. After the lunch stop halfway along the route, we drive via adventurous winding roads to the hotel in the middle of the amazing Fagaras Mountains.


Day 4:  Transfăgărășan – Balea Lake – Bran Castle 

 After a hearty breakfast we get ready for the spectacular Transfăgărășan Route. A 90 kilometer long road through the Fagaras Mountains, part of the Transylvanian Alps. The road has been voted the most beautiful road in the world by the makers of Top Gear. The hairpin bends and steep cliffs make the views along the route truly incredible. An absolute must-do for the real road trip enthusiast. After the lunch stop we drive towards Bran where we visit Bran castle. A high-altitude fairytale castle on a rock. This castle is known as Dracula's castle. "

Day 5:  Peleș Castle – Brasov 

 Today we will visit Peleș Castle; beautifully situated in a park above the city of Sinaia. This castle was previously the summer palace of the royal family. After visiting the castle we make a stop for lunch and drive to our final destination Brașov. In the evening we will end this trip at the hotel during a nice dinner, where we will look back together and toast to an awesome adventure! 


Day 6:  Departure Home 

 In the morning there is the option to use the breakfast buffet. We return home on our own. And we look back on an unforgettable trip!

Please read this carefully. This edition is for the adventurous participants. To participate you must An be a go-with-the-flow person, because we drive in Romania. Things are different here than we are in are used to the west. After registration you will be called by the organization (if we do not contact you). We drive about 300 km every day, divided into 2 or 3 parts. Please note that each stage lasts an average of 2 hours. Of course we have breaks and lunches scheduled to make the ride smooth and relaxing.

The well-known mountain passes are certainly suitable for your car. However, we can sometimes weigh encounter areas that are less accessible. This is because we drive in Romania, where the roads are often worse than we are used to in Western Europe. Keep this in mind.
